The Chief Guest Mr.Ganesh Ramakrishnan, Managing Director & Head of Delivery and Operations, iLink Systems Pvt., Ltd., Trichy started the Symposium named cruZade'13. Green computing is "the study and practice of designing, manufacturing, using and disposing of computers, servers, and associated subsystems-such as monitors, printers, storage devices, and networking and communications systems-efficiently and effectively with minimal or no impact on the environment." The goals of green computing are similar to green chemistry; reduce the use of hazardous materials, maximize energy efficiency during the product's lifetime, and promote the recyclability or biodegradability of defunct products and factory waste. Cloud Monitoring plays a crucial role in providing application guarantees like performance, availability, and security. Cloud computing as technologies that rely on the Internet to satisfy the computing needs of users, who do not generally own the physical infrastructure. All services are often provided by a several common business applications online. Users can choose the services they want and access them from a web browser, while the software and data are stored. Cloud Monitoring is an Integral part of maintenance. Requirement for a monitoring solution for cloud are totally different from legacy and virtualized Monitoring Environment. Research continues into key areas such as making the use of computers as energy-efficient as possible, and designing algorithms and systems for efficiency-related computer technologies.
Students from various institutions attended the Symposium sincerely. The certificates for winners and participation were distributed by Principal Dr.C.Natarajan.
Finally, the Symposium cruZade'13 ended with the vote of thanks delivered by Mr.G.Saranraj, Assistant Professor of CSE Department.
